The Composer iPhone app

Last updated

The Composer app for iPhone shows the same account as Composer on the web. You sign in with the same login, and you see what your role lets you see.

The app needs iOS 18 or later.

Signing in

Sign in with the account you use on the web. You can't create an account in the app. Accounts start from an invitation, which you accept on the web.

If you're signed out on another device, or your access is removed, the app takes you back to the sign-in screen.

The tabs

  • Home: a quick look at your account. Tiles show your streams for the last 28 days, your balance, releases in review (and how many need changes), and live releases (and how many are scheduled). Below them is a list of your recent releases. Pull down to refresh.
  • Releases: search by title, artist, UPC or ISRC, and filter by status.
  • Analytics: your streams over time.
  • Inbox: your notifications. A badge shows how many are unread.

You only see a tab if your role allows it. Payees, for example, see only the releases they're on.

If you belong to more than one organization, tap the organization name at the top of Home to switch.

Releases

Open a release to see:

  • Its status and activity timeline.
  • Its checks.
  • Its tracks, with previews you can play.
  • Its details and stores, with links to the release on each store.
  • The delivery log, which shows how delivery to each store went. Tap Refresh from stores to check again.

Depending on your role and the release's status, you can also:

  • Submit for review
  • Withdraw from review
  • Request a takedown (you give a reason; takedowns can take a few days)

To fix check errors, edit a release or start an update, tap Open on the web.

Analytics

Pick a range: 7 days, 28 days, 90 days or 12 months. You see streams by day for each platform, compared with the period before, plus top recordings and territories. If your role can see money, you also see reported revenue.

A platform that hasn't sent data yet shows "No feed yet", not zero.

Royalties

Tap the balance tile on Home to open your royalties. You see your balance, your payout schedule and your statements. Open a statement to see its lines, then tap View PDF or Share PDF.

Payout setup (your tax form and payment method) happens on the web. If you haven't finished it, the app shows a link to do so.

Notifications

Open Settings with the person icon at the top of the screen.

  • Tap Turn on notifications to get push notifications on this iPhone.
  • Tap Choose what notifies you to pick, for each kind of event, whether you get a push, an email or both.
  • Tap Send a test notification to check it works.
  • Under Devices receiving push, swipe left on a device to remove it.

Tapping a notification opens the release, statement or page it's about. Links to Composer that you tap in an email also open in the app.

Signing out stops push notifications on that iPhone.
